Ingredients
1 chocolate cake mix made per box instructions.
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 jar caramel ice cream topping, warmed
Whipped Cream (either a frozen tub or about a pint of fresh heavy cream whipped; use the amount you like)
2 Butterfinger candy bars, crushed.
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350ºF.
- Prepare a 13 by 9-inch baking dish.
- Mix up the cake mix according to the package directions. Bake as directed.
- Directly after the cake comes out of the oven, and while it is still hot, use a wooden spoon handle to poke lots of holes all over the cake.
- Pour sweetened condensed milk all over the top of the cake with holes.
- Pour caramel over the sweetened condensed milk, and let all the liquids soak down into the cake.
- Allow the cake to cool completely. Refrigerate until cooled.
- Mix up whipped cream, or use some frozen pre-whipped cream that has been thawed. Spread the cream over the cake like frosting.
- Top the cake with the crushed candy bar.
- Serve.
Notes
- Keep in mind that this is a very rich and sweet cake.
